On Saturday, September 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Palatine Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public an opportunity to rid their medicine cabinets of expired, unused prescription drugs. On Thursday, September 11, the Village will begin a Village-wide special brush pick up for storm-related tree limbs and brush. Residents are encouraged to move all storm-related tree limbs and brush to the parkway (between the street and sidewalk) no later than 6:00 am on Thursday. On Thursday, September 11, 2014, the Village of Palatine will be hosting a memorial ceremony to honor those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The ceremony will be held at the Palatine Firefighters Memorial at the corner of N. Brockway and W. Slade Streets in downtown Palatine. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9:00 A.M. and will last approximately thirty minutes. Read More

Aug 15, 2014 "Click it or Ticket" "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" Campaign
The Palatine Police Department is dedicated to keeping our roadways safe through aggressive traffic enforcement measures. With grant funding provided by the Illinois Department of Transportation, we are participating in the Labor Day Holiday Traffic Safety Crackdown. From August 15th through September 1st, we are saturating the roadways with extra officers focusing on impaired drivers and occupant protection. These are found to be the greatest contributing factors in serious injury and fatal motor vehicle crashes throughout Illinois. Read More
