Start Sorting Today For Spring Clean-Up Week

Residents looking to de-clutter and get organized this season may want to take advantage of Palatine’s annual Spring Clean-Up Friday, May 4th through Wednesday, May 9th, 2012.

During this time garbage bags and other refuse items may be placed at the curb throughout the weekend in advance of scheduled collection days without ordinance violations. Refuse will be collected only on the regular collection day.

All refuse placed at the curb must be prepared according to standard specifications. Prohibited items include appliances, electronic waste, tires, paints, household chemical waste and bulk items exceeding 60 pounds. Construction debris must be properly bundled and is limited to a maximum volume of two cubic yards.
