Palatine and Palatine Rural fire crews work together at a joint training exercise involving a fire scenario at an acquired structure in Palatine.Over the years, the Village of Palatine and the Palatine Fire Department have entered into five Automatic Aid Agreements with Rolling Meadows, Palatine Rural, Arlington Heights, Long Grove and, most recently, Lake Zurich. These response agreements are about providing optimum response, bringing the closest resources to the scene as quickly and efficiently as possible. These area departments have emergency fire and EMS personnel who are comparably trained. They also train together to keep familiar with each others operational capabilities and procedures.
