The Palatine Fire Department hosted its annual Open House on Saturday October 6, 2012 at Station 84, 220 W. Illinois Ave. The Open House showcased the various activities of the Fire Department and included apparatus displays, station tours, and displays by various special teams. Our own "Mr. Wizard" fire science demonstration, vehicle extrication demonstration, and a live burn were some of the highlights of the day. The Palatine Emergency Management and Community Emergency Response Teams, Flight For Life helicopter, local hospitals, and other community organizations were also on display for the public.
