Welcome to Police Beat 8160. I am Sergeant Timothy Dowd, the beat coordinator for 8160. I was hired by the Palatine Police Department in 1997, and was recently promoted to Sergeant in July of 2013. Prior to becoming a Sergeant and the team leader of 8160, I served three years in Patrol and 13 years in Investigations. I am currently part of the supervisory staff on the day shift (5:45am to 2:15pm), and am proud to serve the businesses and citizens in this great community.
