Greg and Holli Solberg moved to Palatine in 1984. They are the proud parents of Mike, Joe, Sally, and Jenny. Their children attended Winston Campus and Palatine High School.

Greg has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and a Law Degree from DePaul University. As a Registered CPA in the State of Illinois, Greg is currently employed by the Illinois Securities Department as an enforcement attorney. The Department is an administrative agency which, among other tasks, investigates and prosecutes securities fraud.

Greg has coached in Palatine North Little League, PBA baseball and Palatine Park District basketball. Currently Greg is a member of the Palatine Men's Civic Club and Palatine High School VIP booster club.

Greg became a Village Council member in 1987 and was re-elected in 2013.
