Palatine Holiday Tree Lighting

On Saturday, November 23, join Santa Claus and Mayor Schwantz in the lighting of the Palatine Holiday Tree at Towne Square in Downtown Palatine.
The festivities begin at 4:30 pm with the Palatine Children’s Chorus providing holiday music.   Performing for the Palatine Children’s Chorus will be:
Do Re Mi Choir (ages 6-7)
Treble Choir (ages 8-10)
Intermezzo Choir (ages 10-12)
Concert and Honors Choirs (ages 12-18)
Santa Claus will arrive at Towne Square at 5:00 pm to light the holiday tree.
Santa is still looking for assistance to illuminate the holiday tree. Children are encouraged to send Santa a letter about the importance of the holiday season. Letters should include the child’s full name,  address, phone number and sent to: Tree Lighting, Village of Palatine, 200 E. Wood St. Palatine, IL 60067. Santa will be accepting letters until November 12.
After the tree is illuminated, children will have an opportunity to speak and take a picture with Santa.
Palatine Children’s Chorus: The Palatine Children's Chorus was founded in 1987 by Judy Meyer Hays and in the 25 years since then, has become one of the northwest suburbs’ premiere children's choirs. Supported by the Palatine Park District, the chorus has grown to over 130 singers in 5 choirs. Concert and Honors choirs have been touring since 1997, experiencing cultures and music as far east as Vienna and as far west as Hawaii. We are dedicated to encouraging all children to discover the joy of music and the excitement of performing.
