Jun 22, 2015 "Click it or Ticket" "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" Campaign
The Palatine Police Department is dedicated to keeping our roadways safe through aggressive traffic enforcement measures. With grant funding provided by the Illinois Department of Transportation, we are participating in the Fourth of July Holiday Traffic Safety Crackdown. From June 22 through July 5, we will be saturating the roadways with officers focusing on impaired drivers, occupant protection, and speeding. These are found to be the greatest contributing factors in serious injury and fatal motor vehicle crashes throughout Illinois. Read More

On Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at 4:42 a.m., the Palatine Fire Department was dispatched to an activated fire alarm at 1275 E. Baldwin Ln. in Palatine at the San Tropei Condos. Read More
Jun 09, 2015 Structure Fire - 250 S. Hicks Road
On Monday, June 8, 2015 at 8:37 a.m., the Palatine Fire Department was called to an activated fire alarm at Weber-Stephens, 250 S. Hicks Rd. in Palatine. The first Palatine Fire Department crews arrived on the scene at 8:42 a.m. and reported light smoke coming from north side of the manufacturing warehouse. The first fire companies stretched a hose line into the building for fire attack while additional firefighters searched the building to confirm that all of the employees evacuated safely. Once the power was shut down to the affected area of the building, the fire was quickly extinguished and was isolated to a single piece of manufacturing equipment. Read More

The Village's outdoor warning siren system vendor will be working on the Village's emergency sirens system today (Tuesday, June 9). This work may set off the siren systems throughout the Village. So please, if you hear an unexpected emergency siren going off today, do not panic. You can check local television stations to determine whether there may be a weather emergency taking place.
