Dec 15, 2014 "Click it or Ticket" "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" Campaign
The Palatine Police Department is dedicated to keeping our roadways safe through proactive traffic enforcement measures. With the assistance of grant funding provided by the Illinois Department of Transportation, we will be participating in the Christmas/New Years Holiday Traffic Safety Campaign. From Dec. 19, 2014 to Jan. 4, 2015, the Police Department will be saturating the roadways with extra officers looking for impaired driving and occupant protection violations. These are found to be the greatest contributing factors in serious injury and fatal motor vehicle crashes. Read More

Mayor Jim Schwantz is pleased to announce Matt Trembley as the new District 3 Councilman. Trembley takes over the remaining term for Jim Clegg, who resigned after relocating his residence out of Palatine, and will serve on the Village Council until May 2015. Read More

Dec 03, 2014 Thanksgiving "Click it or Ticket" Results
The Palatine Police Department is dedicated to keeping our roadways the safest they can be. To strengthen that effort, the Palatine Police Department once again partnered with the Illinois Department of Transportation in their Thanksgiving Holiday Traffic Safety Campaign. Through a traffic safety grant, IDOT supplied funds to increase the number of uniformed Palatine Police officers on the roadways enforcing traffic laws over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The primary focus of the officers working this campaign was to make sure vehicle occupants are kept safe through the strict enforcement of seat belt use. Read More
Dec 03, 2014 Palatine Fire Department Participates in Keep the Wreath Red Campaign
The Palatine Fire Department will again be participating in the annual “Keep the Wreath Red” holiday safety program. This public safety campaign was started in the mid 1950’s to increase fire safety awareness during the holidays. Read More
