On September 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Palatine Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its tenth opportunity in five years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. On Friday, September 11, 2015, the Village of Palatine will be hosting a memorial ceremony to honor those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The ceremony will be held at the Palatine Firefighters Memorial at the corner of N. Brockway and W. Slade Streets in downtown Palatine. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9:00 A.M. and will last approximately 30 minutes. Read More
Aug 11, 2015 FAA Hosting Open Houses on O'Hare Modernization Environmental Impact Statement
The Village was recently notified that the FAA will be conducting hearings and accepting comments regarding the O'Hare Modernization Plan. As you may be aware, there have been ongoing projects at O'Hare that were designed to improve safety as well as increase efficiencies of the airport operations. A positive result of this project for Palatine has been a decrease in the flight pattern over our community due to the reduced usage of existing diagonal runways directed towards Palatine. Read More

Some residents have received a notice from Spark Energy in the mail regarding the Village's electric aggregation program. The notice incorrectly states that the program will end in August 2015 and that residents will revert back to receiving their electric supply from ComEd at that time. This is not true; the Village’s three-year program with Constellation is not slated to end until May 2017. Read More
