ELECTRIC AGGREGATION PROGRAM
In an effort to lower electric supply rates for residents, the Village arranges for the supply of electricity for eligible residents and small commercial customers. ComEd still delivers the electricity, handles accounts and billing, and responds to service issues and outages. Through May 2017, Constellation will supply the electricity at a fixed rate of 7.152¢/kWh. Eligible customers are automatically enrolled unless they take the necessary steps to opt out. REQUIRED LICENSES AND STICKERS
All dogs and cats must be licensed by the Village and wear tags. Please note that only three pets are allowed per household (some exceptions apply).
All vehicles housed at or registered to a Palatine address are required to display a Village vehicle sticker year around.

. Purchases can also be made at the Finance Counter or by mail. New residents must purchase within 30 days of moving in. Renewal applications are sent out each year in late spring, and must be displayed by July 1.
REFUSE, YARD WASTE, AND RECYCLING
Household refuse and recycling is collected once a week by Groot, with yard waste pickup occurring between April and November. All refuse MUST be placed at the curb no later than 6:30 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.

ON-STREET PARKING REGULATIONS
Parking on Village streets is prohibited from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. Residents are allowed to request overnight parking up to five nights per month. Permission can be obtained from the Police Department by either calling 359-9000 or by clicking here.
Parking is prohibited on Village streets for 24 hours after a snowfall with an accumulation of two or more inches.

Inoperable and recreational vehicles are prohibited from parking on any Village street at all times. Failure to abide by these parking regulations can result in a citation, the vehicle being towed, and/or subsequent fines.
COMMUTER PARKING PERMITS
Monthly, quarterly, and annual parking permits are available for purchase at the Finance Counter to park in one of the Village’s several commuter lots located near the Metra Station. For more information, permit applications, and parking maps, please click here

COST SHARING PROGRAMS
50/50 Sidewalk Replacement Program: Is the sidewalk in front of your home cracked, crumbling, or deteriorating? Apply to have the Village split the cost to replace the damaged sidewalk.
50/50 Parkway Tree Program: Do you want to see more trees planted near your home? Apply to have the Village split the cost to plant additional deciduous trees to the parkway in front of your home.

FLOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
Storm Water Drainage Program: If flooding in your yard or parkway is an ongoing issue, you can apply for a 50% reimbursement from the Village to help cover the cost to install sewer and area drains on your property. The Village also offers loans to homeowners looking to connect their sump pump to the Village storm sewer system.
Basement Protection Program: Homeowners experiencing sewer backups due to out-of-date plumbing systems can apply for either a reimbursement of up to 50% or for a loan to help cover the cost to improve and upgrade their plumbing systems.
