Village of Palatine 2019 CDBG Action Plan Amendment and Citizen Participation Plan Amendment

The Village of Palatine has received additional funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) in response to the COVID 19 Pandemic referred to CDBG-CV Funding.

In order to utilize these funds in a timely manner, the Village must approve a Citizen Participation Plan Amendment to add certain public participation processes and waivers approved by HUD. Also, the Village must approve a 2019 Annual Action Plan Substantial Amendment to explain how it will use the CDBG-CV funds. The full texts of the proposed amendments are contained in the links below and are highlighted in yellow.

CDBG 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan and 2020 Action Plan

On June 8, 2020, the required 30-day public comment period began for the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan and 2020 Action Plan, which will end on July 13, 2018. The Draft Plan will be available at the Village Clerk’s Office in addition to on the website. The final version of the Action Plan will be submitted to HUD though the Cook County Consortium in August.

CDBG FY2019 Action Plan

The Village of Palatine’s FY2019 Action Plan was adopted by the Village Council on July 18, 2019.  This Annual Action Plan includes the budget and a description of the projects that the Village will carry out during the October 1, 2019 - September 30, 2020 program year.

CDBG 2015-19 Consolidated Plan

The Village of Palatine is a participating jurisdiction in the Cook County Consolidated Planning process.  A copy of the 2015-2019 Cook County Consolidated Plan may be found here:

 The Village is a participating jurisdiction in the Cook County’s Plan, but the Village has its own portions of the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan which describes certain community needs and housing market conditions specific to the Village of Arlington Heights.  This part of the Consolidated Plan also includes the Village’s strategic plan for addressing its community development needs and the 2015-2016 Annual Action Plan.
