Open House

For those who wonder what a fire truck looks like up close, how to use a fire extinguisher, or what a fire station looks like can join the members of the Palatine Fire Department at our Annual Fire Department Open House.

At this event, families can take a tour of the fire station, get up close with the equipment used to keep the citizens of Palatine safe, and take part in numerous fun and exciting activities like spraying a fire hose and using a fire extinguisher. This is a great opportunity to meet your local firefighters, witness live educational demonstrations, and to learn more about the services the department offers the community.

Agency Support

Support agencies such as the Palatine Police Department, NICOR, ComEd, Northwest Community Hospital, St. Alexis Medical Center, and Northwest Central Dispatch are also among frequent contributors to this annual event.

Open House Date

The Annual Fire Department Open House is held on the first Saturday in October from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Station 84 (220 W Illinois Ave), is an event the entire community will enjoy while learning valuable fire safety tips. We look forward to seeing you there.
