The Village strives to be prepared for emergency situations and planned special events that take place within the Village. Trainings throughout the year are completed to respond to hazards that have been identified in our Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Emergency Alert Program

Get alerts for emergencies and other important community news by signing up for the Citizen Alert program serving Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg and Streamwood. The emergency notification system enables your Community to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather occurrences, critical road closures, missing persons, and the potential evacuation of buildings or neighborhoods. Some Communities have opted to share even more updates, be sure to check with you municipality for addition information.

By signing up you will receive time-sensitive and location specific messages for the locations that matter to you, such as your home, work, or school and can be received by the devices of your choice including home phone, cell phone, text messages, business phone, email, hearing impaired receiving devices, and more.
