Pickup Details

  • Refuse, yard waste and recycling (refer to yard waste section for available months) are collected once a week.
  • If a holiday falls on a week day or Sunday, collection may be delayed by one day

  • Village Ordinance designates when refuse, yard waste and recycling can be placed at the curb.
  • Refuse, yard waste and recycling shall be placed at the curb no later 6:30 am on the collection day.
  • Refuse, yard waste and recycling shall be placed at the curb no earlier than:
    • 7 p.m. the night before collection during Daylight Savings Time
    • 4 p.m. the night before collection during Central Standard Time
    • The collection of bagged/bundled yard waste occurs from the first full week of April through the second full week of December.
  • If properly placed materials have not been collected by the end of the regularly scheduled collection day, call Environmental Health within 24 hours at 847-359-9042.
