The Kiwanis Club of Palatine announces its 13th Annual Family Kite Fly on Saturday, September 12 from 10 AM - Noon. This free family event will be held at the Margreth Riemer Reservoir (located at the northeast corner of Palatine and Quentin Roads). The entrance is off Wood Street, just east of Quentin Road. All Palatine Village and Township residents are invited to attend. We will have free kites for all children between 4 and 12 and some other surprises. Kiwanis members will be there to assist with kite assembly and repairs. We are aware of Covid-19 concerns so we will be changing some procedures from prior years. The area has plenty of room for social distancing among family groups. [Don’t for get your masks except for 2 years of age.] Please be prepared for some longer lines for kites this year due to spacing requirements. We do not believe, however, that these things will limit the family fun of kite flying!
