    The Palatine Historical Society hosts its annual Cemetery Walk on Sunday, September 15 from 1 - 4 PM. Costumed actors will tell stories of people who plied their trades in the early years of Palatine. Cost is $5 adults, $4 members, $2 Kids - all funds raised will go to cemetery restoration.   3. Rotary Club of Palatine's Annual Oktoberfest

    September 20, 2019, 5:00 PM

    The Rotary Club of Palatine will be hosting their 12th Annual Oktoberfest from Friday, September 20 - Sunday, September 22 at the corner of Smith and Slade Streets in downtown Palatine (south of the Metra train station) to raise funds for their support of local charities and community projects in the Palatine area. This free, tented event features authentic German music, food, beverages and activities for all ages. Times of the event are Friday from 5 PM until Midnight, Saturday from Noon until Midnight, and Sunday from Noon - 6 PM. “We kick off the festival on Friday at 5 PM,” said Cindy Stoeckel, Oktoberfest Chair. “One of our Village officials will officiate over the blessing and tapping of the keg ceremony which will start our Oktoberfest celebration. Come party in your lederhosen and dirndl!”

    Arts Refreshing the Soul is excited to announce our 8th annual Arts by the Glass event. New this year, we are inviting guests to participate in our theme Game On! which will include games, both for individuals and teams, such as a cake walk, spin the (wine) bottle and Bozo buckets. Game On! Arts by the Glass will take place on September 20, 2019 at the Metropolis Ballroom in Arlington Heights, IL. In addition to the games, the event will include food, silent auction and great wine, beer, bourbon and whiskey to taste! Funds raised will support bringing A.R.T.S.’ educational creative art and music programs to local social service agencies to inspire change and to enrich the lives of women, children and youth who have experienced abuse, poverty and/or homelessness.
