Transferring Ownership

Special Use Transfers are required for a business that has an existing special use and is selling or transferring ownership of a particular business to another individual, partnership or company.

The Department of Planning and Zoning is now accepting Special Use Transfer application submitted through the Community Self Service (CSS) portal. A CSS account is required in order to apply for a Special Use Transfer, existing CSS accounts that have been used for building permit applications can also be utilized for these processes as well.
