Welcome to Police Beat 8120, I am Sergeant Kyle Frangiamore, the primary point of contact and Beat Coordinator of 8120. I was hired by the Palatine Police Department in 2007. during my time at the department, I have served in many different roles including: Patrol Officer, Uniformed Tactical Officer, Gang/TAC (now called Special Operations), Investigator, and as a Task Force Officer for the United States Postal Inspection Contraband Interdiction and Investigations Task Force. I am currently assigned as a midnight shift supervisor working from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Location
Beat 8120 is located in the southeast section of Palatine. The beat covers approximately 2 ½ square miles and is roughly bordered by Carpenter Drive to the north, Wilke Road to the east, Northwest Highway to the south, and Hicks Road to the west. The beat consists of mainly single family neighborhoods and retail establishments, as well as condominium communities. Schools within 8120 include Jane Addams, Lake Louise, St Thomas, and Winston Campus Elementary and Junior High. The beat is home to numerous parks from the Palatine and Salt Creek Park Districts, the Palatine Bicycle Trail, and the Twin Lakes Golf and Recreation Area.
Specially trained Bike Officers patrol the path to interact with residents and help keep it safe. In addition, officers from the 8120 team meet with neighborhood watch groups,
attend block parties with residents, interact with business owners and work together with school officials on a regular basis.
